Eldon Phillips lived in Bron-y-Garn for many years.
He was husband to the late Glenys and father of two daughters, Vicky and Karen. He has five grand-children and eight great grand-children living in Oxfordshire and Australia.
After retiring he was a Church warden in St Hilary for 10 years. He enjoyed watching rugby, took art classes and joined the Cowbridge Art Society. There are people who remember him as an accomplished artist.
Eldon passed away peacefully on 18 August 2020 aged 101.
The family want to thank people in the village for their support. The Manor House took great care of him in the last few weeks, and so many people that knew him in the village have shared lovely memories. This has all been incredibly comforting.
